A lovely spring transition look from a few weeks ago, but still applicable. Apologies for lack of activity — hobbling along on crutches makes carrying a camera significantly more difficult, but now that I’m free we’ll be back in action!

Tim Barber photographs Opening Ceremony Resort ‘12

Prominent photographer Tim Barber recently unveiled his lookbook for Opening Ceremony’s Spring 2012 Resort line, a stunning collection of colorful, whimsical fun. It’s all fantastic, we’re just so excited. See below for a selection of my favorites.

Barber also photographed OC’s S/S ‘12 line, which can be viewed here. Enjoy!

Took this before the break, but wanted to wait until after to upload. I love when people take advantage of random nice weather. At a small college, it’s become fairly easy to predict days when I won’t have to haul my camera around due to rain or snow. That said, I challenge anyone to prove me wrong!
Enjoy a balmy ‘bier this week. Welcome back.

Just plain cool

Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012, NYFW

I support this man’s insanity.
Septum/nose chain piercings have appeared frequently in this season’s couture, notably Chanel, Givenchy, and Jeremy Scott. Intrigued, but not enamored…this is not a Kreayshawn music video.

The septum piercing is a tricky thing. Mostly I find it repulsive, though the rare moments it works, it really works. Kenyon in particular seems blessed with well-ornamented septums — props for doing it well.
NY ADORNED piercer J. Colby Smith creates gold chain septum pieces that are subtle, graceful, and edgy. I love his feminine take on a tough look.
